Organizing Your Storage Unit

Before you pack everything into your storage unit, you need to consider what you’ll be wanting to access on a regular basis.  Organize your boxes into three simple categories and mark them accordingly: NO, MAYBE, and YES.

Your NO boxes should be filled with things that you are probably not going to need to access while they are in storage.  They can be put in the back of the unit or in the bottom of a stack.  Your MAYBE boxes should be filled with items that you might need to access while in storage.  Put them where they are easy to get to without too much trouble.

Your YES boxes need to be filled with the items you know you’ll be needing while they are in storage.  Make sure the boxes are easy to get to, and make sure they are easy to open and/or move out of the self-storage unit.  If you have a number of YES boxes, put an itemized list on the outside so you’ll know exactly what’s in them.

This way, you’ll save yourself a great deal of trouble and headaches later on when you are looking for specific items. Contact Hollywood Self Storage in Augusta GA to reserve your self storage unit today!

My wife and I want to make sure we have everything we need as we travel the country in our RV. We’ll be sure to keep your tips in mind as we search for storage units near us!
